All sports betting is legal within New Jersey, including motorsports betting and horse racing. The state also has great online sites and apps for residents.
Pennsylvania is a great state for sports betting and has a lot of different options for motor racing betting. Currently, there are 12 retail sportsbooks in Pennsylvania and six in Philadelphia alone.
There are also four online betting sites with corresponding mobile apps and five more in the works. Motorsports betting is available at all sportsbooks and online sites.
Indiana is one of the newest states to introduce sports betting to residents having opened their first retail sportsbook on September 1st. Online betting came soon after and went live earlier this month.

Montana, Iowa, Illinois, Tennessee, New Hampshire, and North Carolina have all legalized sports betting, but their official launches are still pending. Below are some other states with active betting facilities.
Nevada was actually one of the largest opponents for legalizing sports betting because prior to the PASPA repeal they basically had a monopoly on the industry. They still have the world’s largest retail sportsbook at Westgate and offer all sports including motorsports betting online as well.
Arkansas just launched sports betting this year and currently has one sportsbook accepting bets. The Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort allows betting on motorsports and horse racing as well as all other traditional sports and events.
Currently, they only allow online betting at the retail space and plans for a full online launch are unclear. Southland Gaming & Racing does not seem to currently have a sportsbook, but there are plans to open one soon. They just underwent an expansion and will be adding more than horse racing to their roster.
Delaware was actually the first state after the repeal to legalize sports betting. They were also one of only four states to have already had sports betting laws in place prior to the repeal of PASPA. Montana, Nevada & Oregon were the other three.
Delaware has three retail sportsbooks all of which offer motorsports betting in addition to other sports wagering. Though they already have online betting in place – they are expected to expand this to include sports betting shortly.
Mississippi legalized sports betting in 2018 and has 23 sportsbooks taking bets including motorsports betting. Currently, however, they do not offer mobile betting off the grounds of retail locations. Meaning, you have to be physically present in a licensed facility to make any wagers online.

However, online sports betting is not currently legal. With how quickly things have changed and moved, it seems likely that the industry will open up soon.
Oregon was one of the four states to have already had sports betting laws in place before the PASPA repeal.
The Chinook Winds Casino Sportsbook opened at the end of August 2019 and includes NASCAR betting. Though they already have limited sports betting sites established (including horse racing bets and fantasy sports), sports betting apps aren’t out yet.
